Orthodontics, reimagined for discretion
Lingual bracesA straighter smile shouldn’t mean sacrificing how you look during treatment. Lingual braces give patients in Irving and Dallas a fully customized alternative to traditional braces, with every bracket and wire placed completely out of sight. Trusted by patients across Las Colinas & Park Cities since 2022 |

The basics
What are lingual braces?Lingual braces work on the same principle as traditional metal braces: small brackets connected by an archwire that gradually guides your teeth into place. The difference is placement. Instead of bonding to the front of your teeth, lingual brackets are custom shaped to the back surface, facing your tongue. The result looks like nothing at all, while still delivering the same predictable, fixed orthodontic movement patients expect from braces. |

adjustment period |
Most patients need a short adjustment period after their lingual braces are placed. Because the brackets sit close to the tongue, it’s common to notice mild irritation or a temporary change in speech during the first one to two weeks, which fades as your tongue gets used to the new placement. Lingual treatment generally takes a bit longer than traditional braces and calls for closer attention to oral hygiene, since brushing and flossing happen on a less visible surface. Our team will walk you through tools like floss threaders and water flossers that make at-home care easier.
